Detect Orgasm Before It Happens - So You Can Prevent It!

female denial | miscellany | solo female
When i was in labor, there was someing inserted that could detect a contraction before I felt it. I'm not sure what the purpose was, but my partner would watch the monitor, and when it would start to show activity, he would warn me it was coming and to get ready.

It seems this could be really handy in T&D. Insert the detector, then tease all you want with fingers, mouth, vibrator, etc - until the detector sensed an impending contraction - then stop the stimulation.

Seems this could be done endlessly and mercilessly. Smiling

Oh Yes, I wish someone could invent something for men. I guess either down the penis or up the ass would work well. Either way I would give it a good go.

for men

It would work best in men if it could detect the beginning of the emissions phase rather than contractions... otherwise the same device could likely be used.

Although, I think the device is intended to work on a swollen belly (they usually don't use the inserted kind if they can help it), so it'd probably need modifications to work in butts.

Either way, that kind of medical equipment probably costs more than a nice car.

Clever

An internal tocometer. I never thought of it as a pervertable. It works inside the uterus to detect changes in pressure. Obviously, for your purpose you would want it to work inside the vagina instead.

interesting idea, though with a bit of discipline and practice, it's quite possible to detect and avoid the onset yourself, without the need for mechanical contrivances... assuming the one being stimulated is seeking to avoid orgasm, of course.

Only you can prevent orgasms!

This will sound silly, but the title of this reminded me of the Smokey the Bear "only you can prevent forest fires" line.

It sounded like an important community service announcement. Smiling

(pre-) orgasm detection and toys using it

Greetings all,

I've been lurking here occasionally, but this thread is something I decided to comment on -- a subject I've though a LOT about. (Very long comment, please forgive me or skip over it.)

Such a sensor is possible, for feedback for oneself, for use by a tease/denial partner -- or as part of an automated teasing toy. I built a version of the latter, and it works pretty well, IMHO.
Here are some links on the subject, plus a description of my own toy. As you may gather, I'm both kinky and technical....

Here's an older thread on tantalism about related toys, "Squeeze resistant insertable" from cybersave's blog:
http://tantalism.org/node/view/707

Patents on sensors for anal/vaginal muscle activity.

Muscle activity can also be sensed via electrical measurments (electro-myography), instead of mechanically, but this requires direct electrical contact, and good analog electronics (because the signals are very small, and making electronics work properly and safely with such electrodes is something of a challenge.):

For guys a sensor in the ass (a plug) or around the base of penis are likely the best places (never tried the latter, but it's on back burner.)

For females:
I strongly suspect that an insertable in either vag or ass would work.
Any comments on which/where (shallow vs deep, etc.) the strongest (and for tantalizing) would better sense activity *before* orgasm would be much appreciated. An inventor's work is never done.....

A fully wireless sensor/toy would be much better, but that adds more difficulty (doable, but not trivial or cost-free.) Rechargable batteries and a Zigbee/Xbee radio interface might work. Maybe later. On the other hand, a corded, sensor/display would be easier to make than a full-up automated tantalizer. The display could be as simple as a few LEDs, a little LCD screen, or might use a PDA as it's display, or maybe an audio tone + earbuds.

The patents I found seemed to focus on either pneumatic or hydraulic pressure sensor, or electrical (mygraphy) sensors. I decided to try a different type of sensor (force sensitive resistors), because of their high sensitivity (and I had some left over from a previous project.) There are some very sensitive pneumatic sensors now available, and those might work well for a softer/squishy insertable sensor in a future development.

--------

My invention, which I developed a few years ago (during a dry spell.)
Designed for me (male), as an automatic (hands-free) teasing system --
Put it on, fire it up, and be driven nuts for as long as I could stand -- and end with a super-intense orgasm. I'm confident that a similar system could be designed for female tantal-ees and/or for their tantaliz-ors to use. Anyhow, here's what I designed into my toy:

An anal plug, with a pressure sensor at the sphincter.

Three channels of (computer-controlled) vibrators, located :
just below the tip of cock,
between balls and anus (on a harness, similar to a jock strap),
in the anal plug

Because of the vibrator in the plug, the pressure sensor needed some filtering in order to separate muscle activity from vibrator-caused. Worth the effort, though!

Randomized vibration (mainly short bursts) -- so it's never constant/consistant enough to "get used to it."

A small microprocessor to:
control the three vibrators;
collect the pressure signal;
filter/process signals to detect incipient orgasm
(a weighted combination of both strength time between muscle activity);
disable vibrators when close to cumming
-- so it let me get close, but not cum. -- over and over again.

I could have used a PC for this, but I wanted to leave open the possibility of going full wireless.
A networked version would also be an interesting idea, but I haven't pursued that, so far.
Low power also lets my device run on battery power. I lived in an area with frequent lighning strikes, and I wanted to enjoy -- even if a storm was headed my way.

I've read on this website about extended teasing sessions, mostly about women.
Men's response to teasing (or at least my own) just can't take it for nearly so long.
(Or it may be that my toy, custom built for my own responses), is just too !@#$% good at continual teasing/denial.) For me, each five minute period (after my first edge/denial cycle), seemed like an eternity -- especially since my device could then make me edge approx. once/minute. I think I once managed a full hour, but that was just too intense/exhausting. Usually, I'd tease with my device for ~30 minutes, before I "took matters into my own hands." I realize this is peanuts compared to some of the blogs/stories written here, but (believe me!) the sensations in those "short" sessions were just wonderful, and seemed to go on much longer than in reality. (It's also a great way to ensure a great night's sleep. I was something of an insomniac, and this toy is much more effective {and fun!} than any sleep meds I ever tried.

I finally added an option so the processor would "roll the dice" and decide how many edges I would have to endure before it switched from orgasm-prevention to orgasm-provoking mode. BUT, I deliberately made it so I couldn't tell if I was in for a quicky (5 or fewer edges) or a marathon (~30); this added greatly to the sensation and the tension, because I'd never know whether I was on (yet another) frustrating tease cycle, or was -- FINALLY-- going to be able to cum!

Of course, I have fantasies of playing with somebody else controlling the device, and me bound and helpless. But have not, to date, found a compatible playmate in my area. Though, hope springs eternal.....

--------

Making such a sensor (or a toy/tantalizer using one) takes some real skill in making things, but is certainly doable. Although I'm trained as an engineer, that came after I learned to build/tinker/invent, and I'm convinced that people can learn quite a bit doing do-it-yourself projects.
However, know what you're doing, think about what could go wrong, and play safely! (Especially with anything electrical that touches somebody's skin -- or more tender places....)
There may be easier/better ways to make such a toy than what I came up with, and I'd be happy to learn about alternatives and/or discuss with anybody interested. My current interest is on pleasure, rather than business/profit, but I could be convinced otherwise.....

Vibrator feedback control

I wonder if these ideas would work with a Sybian or Venus. That'd be interesting...

Maybe some kind of optional add-on. Smiling

Re Vibrator feedback control:

Reynard et al,

I've never seen a Sybian or Venus. However (from those webpages), they both seem to be powered by house current, and mainly mechanical. Making a pre-orgasm sensor temporarily turn off house current can be done pretty easily and quite safely. (I'd use solid-state relays.)

Question for any Sybian or Venus users:
If you have it running, and unplug/replug (the AC power, silly!) do they continue running as they were, or do you need to do something else to get them going again? (My hope is that the do; that'd make such an add-on a totally separate device.)

Re: Vibrator feedback control

I bet it would also work with the love seat and controller for the Hitachi Magic Wand (aka the "poor man's Sybian").

Re^2: Vibrator feedback contro

Radio's Dom, et al,

Yes; that should work. Actually easier to do for the wand, since it's lower electrical power) I hadn't though much about controlling high-power toys before; I find the noise to be a tremendous distraction. But it'd be a pretty simple variation.

I can't resist a bit of a pun:

If you build it, they will cum*

* But not for a loong time!

Yes, I have very little shame Eye-wink

This sort of toy is easier/cheaper to make now (vs. when I started.)
If I were going to do a re-design, I'd use an arduino (or a clone.)
The Arduino,

http://www.arduino.cc/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arduino

is a (low cost) open-source hardware and software platform for physical computing:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physical_computing

Orgasm -- and tantalization via computer-controlled edging
strikes my twisted imagination as about as physical as one can get....

Arduinos were conceived to be easy to learn (originally aimed at artists, if I remember correctly.) I'm going to be teaching a workshop using these to some high-school kids, but the example peripherals will be science/tech oriented, not at all sexual.
(I may be kinky, but I'm not a cradle robber.)

This really is doable!

Plz describe the Obstetric device that detected contractions?

I'd appreciate it if you (or anybody else reading who knows) would describe the obstetric instrument (insertable tocometer?) in some detail. Especially size, shape and firmness (rigid vs. squishable.) Inquiring/perverted/inventive people want to know (at least one of us....) Thanks, Larry

I used a heart rate monitor and biofeedback monitor once

I think I may have written a story about it. Ah yes, here it is: http://tantalism.org/node/view/1112

What I apparently overlooked mentioning in the story, is that I also had her hooked up to a heart-rate monitor AND a biofeedback device as well as to vibrators on her clit, inside her pussy, and two clip-on vibes on her nipples too! The heart-rate monitor was a sports-type device; it strapped to her chest just below her breasts. The biofeedback device was two galvanic skin response probes on two of her fingers-- the same kind used for lie detectors or for meditation.

The biofeedback device went crazy just before orgasm. IIRC, the heart rate was a good indicator too. It would jump up just before orgasm. I studied her thoroughly and it was an absolute joy.

That woman was my toy; I could do anything to her and she loved it. It was delicious. I was in heaven; I really miss her. I'd love to find a partner like that again. *sigh*. Alas, I sold the devices a long time ago too.
