Jessica Aldryn McLangly, Lady of the Hierarchy of the Moon, Daughter of Lord McLangly, was riding in the meadow that lay to the south of her estate, when Lance Corporal Roland came for her. She was by herself and already in a bad mood when she saw him. She pulled her mare to a stop and waited impatiently for him to come close enough to explain his presence.

"Lady McLangly," He pulled up on the reins as he came along side her. "I've come here on official business from Princess Katherine Ryan's Court. I've been asked to secure your cooperation in an important matter."
